My May 2022 Challenge

Summer is pretty much here!! With that being said, the warm weather brings joy and makes me feel a little more motivated. This month I’d like to be a little more active to really try and tone up and feel great before summer.

In this post I am going to share what my personal May challenge is. You can join me, or create a challenge of your own.

When you think of a challenge it seems overwhelming at first and you automatically think, “Oh, idk if I can do that.” The moment you think that is the moment you already quit. Try being more optimistic or create your own challenge that you think you can really stick to.

For me…

Personally, this May I’d really like to work on moving my body more and incorporating more cardio into my routine. I am aiming for 4 days of cardio a week and trying to walk more places like to work. I want to move out of the gym for cardio and enjoy the fresh air and warm weather around me. The run I like to do is up an inclined road and I like to do interval sprints up it. If the weather is not great I’ll go on the treadmill in the gym. I’d also like to get back into my consistent lifting routine where I train my lower body two days a week and aim for one full body day.

Food wise…

This month I’d like to clean up my food habits a little bit. I will always indulge on the food I want and am craving. I would like to stick to three solid, nutritious meals each day so when I do have my sweet treats and what not they will be more rewarding. This means I’d like to take the time to meal prep each week so I can reach these goals. I will have to push past my laziness and think what is best for me when I am not feeling motivated to cook.

Mentally…

Getting off my damn phone is what I’d really like to improve on. Always consuming the media and feeling drained all the time sucks. I want to feel good and enjoy what’s around me. Also seeking validation from myself and not from other people. I also started a new book this month. I’d like to finish it before June and I’ll do a review on it!

Changing habits that I’ve had for awhile now are not gonna be easy to change right away. That’s why I want to push myself because I know I’ll feel better overall. Nor do I want to beat myself up over things either, we are all humans and are nowhere near perfect. If I fall back here and there it is ok, I can always re-try and improve the following time. If you have a challenge or any goals this month let me know down below!
